For more than three decades, Tahoe Community Foundation has helped connect the generosity of people who care deeply about our region with the opportunities that strengthen our communities. As the needs of Tahoe evolve, so does our work.

Today, we're pleased to share an important milestone in our continued growth: the addition of two new team members whose expertise will help us deepen partnerships, expand community impact, and better serve the people and organizations that make Tahoe such a remarkable place.

As our organization grows, so does our capacity to listen, convene, invest, and respond. More capacity means stronger partnerships. Stronger partnerships lead to greater impact.

Welcoming Laura Buckner

We're excited to welcome Laura Buckner as our Director of Community Impact. In this leadership role, Laura oversees discretionary grantmaking, community initiatives, and strategic partnerships that help strengthen the Tahoe region and address local needs. Laura began her nonprofit journey as an AmeriCorps volunteer through a program sponsored by Tahoe Community Foundation and brings extensive experience in strategic communications, capacity building, and data-informed decision-making.

Welcoming Natalie Garnett

We also welcome Natalie Garnett as our Foundation Services Manager. Natalie serves as a key point of contact for donors, grantees, and community members, helping ensure the Community Foundation continues to provide exceptional service while supporting our philanthropic and community impact work. A longtime Tahoe resident, Natalie brings a strong commitment to community engagement and service.

Looking Ahead

Every day, we see what is possible when people come together around a shared commitment to Tahoe's future. By investing in our team, we are investing in our ability to serve our community more effectively, foster meaningful partnerships, and direct resources where they can make the greatest difference.

We're proud of this next chapter and grateful to everyone who has helped Tahoe Community Foundation grow into the trusted philanthropic partner it is today.

Together, we're building stronger communities, creating new opportunities, and ensuring that Tahoe remains a place where generosity inspires lasting change.
